Full-Time Police Officer (Humboldt Police Department)

The City of Humboldt, KS (pop. approx. 2,000) is seeking applicants for a motivated Full-Time Police Officer. This position provides law enforcement and public safety services to the community including enforcement of criminal statutes, ordinances, traffic enforcement, crime prevention, patrol activity, accident investigation, crime scene investigations, resolution of domestic and other disturbances, and other duties as assigned.

TYPE: Full-Time and Part-Time

SALARY: The City of Humboldt offers a full benefits package including paid insurance, sick leave, vacation leave, funeral leave and KPERS for Full-Time Officers. Starting salary depends on experience and qualifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Minimum age of 21 on the date of examination, US Citizen, no felony or major misdemeanor convictions. Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license. Must obtain or possess a current full time KLETC certification. Applicant must pass a complete background check, drug testing, physical and psychological testing. Preference will be given to applicants with KLETC certification
